If you’re online searching for help on either getting your business off the ground or moving it to the next level, keep reading because I’m about to share with you my top 5 network marketing tips for kicking your business into overdrive.
Before I share my 5 network marketing tips with you, I want you to take a moment and consider why you decided to start your own business in the first place. Your first thought might be “to make extra money” because that’s true of pretty much everybody. But I’d challenge you to dig deeper into your mind and get a hold of the underlying motivation behind your decision.
Ask yourself what it is exactly that you want the extra money for. What do you want to do with it? The reason I want you to do this is because your reason “why” is so incredibly important in understanding what will truly drive you to succeed. If you have a very clear picture of your reason why, you’ll be much more likely to keep pushing ahead to build your business no matter what challenges or obstacles might come up.
With that in mind, here are my top 5 network marketing tips that, if used correctly, can absolutely explode your business:

Network Marketing Tips #1 – Know Your Target Market
A lot of people go out and spew their business opportunity to everyone they meet both online and offline. It usually ends up being a lot of activity, but not much productive comes out of it. Sure you can get lucky and connect with a few of the right people, but it’s such a chore and you have to dig through tons of the wrong people to find the good ones.
Instead, try this. Sit down with a pencil and paper or on your computer and write out a description of your perfect customer or business prospect. Be as thorough as you can. Before you make a decision about your marketing, refer to this description and make sure you’re communication is speaking to this person.

Network Marketing Tips #2 – Have a Plan and Work It Daily

This is so important, but because network marketers work from home, it’s so often neglected. Get a planner, use your smart phone, or a calendar on your computer – whatever way works for you is good. If you really want to dig into time management, Stephen Covey’s book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a great guide on how to do this.
Plan your week in advance, then every evening write out exactly what you’re going to work on the next day. Now here’s the big tip: you have to follow your plan once you’ve written it out. Guard your time fiercely because it’s the most important asset you have.

Network Marketing Tips #3 – Never Stop Learning

Just because you’re out of school doesn’t mean the learning is over. In fact, I’ve learned far, far more since graduating from college than I ever learned in a classroom. There’s a ton of great material out there including training courses, eBooks, seminars, classes, webinars, etc. Take advantage of as many as you can. Don’t ever stop learning. They minute you do, you stop growing and moving your business forward.

Network Marketing Tips #4 – Connect with a Strong Mentor

If you follow my articles regularly then you know I write on this topic a lot. That’s because I’ve witnessed first hand what an incredible difference having a strong mentor can make. We struggled for 15 months in our business until we connected with a strong mentor. In a matter of days, our business absolutely exploded and shows no sign of letting up.
In fact, we’re growing faster all the time because we’ve gotten with a great mentor who’s helped us get over some hurdles in our business. Now we’re mentoring others to explosive success in their businesses.

Network Marketing Tips #5 – Use a Comprehensive System

Here’s the most valuable tip of all. You absolutely must leverage a comprehensive marketing system so that you don’t have to do everything yourself. There are only so many hours in a day and you cannot spend those manually performing routine tasks and expect to have time to build your business.
At least 90% of your time should be spent on income producing activities and not on administrative busy work. Therefore, you must have an effective system in place that you utilize daily.

Hi Dean,

Connecting with a strong mentor makes all the difference in the world. Cut your learning curve in half. Research pro’s. Dig into their social sites. Are they trustworthy, and helpful? Partner with them.

A strong coach makes your job 1000 times easier. No need to develop your own system, or experiment endlessly. I admit, I didn’t reach out, and it made my learning curve so much longer. Easier to connect with a pro, follow their lead, feed off their inspiration, and prosper.

Keen note about systems too. You work, and your system leverages your presence. Systems work, people fail. Work the system, and let the system bring in team members and money for you as you step away from the laptop. Target that market and drive passive traffic to your site, and you are good to go.
